Flimmern
In my course we will deal with acoustic, visual and psychoactive flickering. A topic that is also strongly related to diverse ‚Rauschen‘ and various states of consciousness. ‚Flicker states‘ allow us to observe our ‚internal processor‘ generating our apparent realities. The course will take place in my studio (and possibly other places) and be based on a strongly participatory approach through which we define and explore form and focus together.
Zimoun
The generally site-specific installations and sound architectures of Bern based artist Zimoun are presented in museums and art galleries around the world. He explores analog, simple systems which, despite their simplicity, develop sonic and visual complexities through their own dynamics and the mechanical interplay of the materials used. He deals with questions of perception and consciousness, artificially generated but organic appearing systems, as well as three-dimensional sound spaces and sound architectures.
