The aim of the workshop BAD WEATHER, imagined by Will Benedict, is to design and edit a magazine over 3 days which would becalled BAD WEATHER. The magazine's content will be drawn exclusively from the archive of the schools library. The workshop's intent is to deconstruct how we read, interpret the images and rhetorics used to describe our environment, and to think about how expressions as diverse as « bad weather », « a nasty atmosphere », « climate change » or « climate shame » are employed just as weapons, to establish a political position.
Will Benedict (born in 1978 in Los Angeles) is an artist living in Paris, France. Recent solo exhibitions include Bad Weather at Overduin & Co. in Los Angeles (2015), A Bone in the Cheese at Bortolami in New York (2015), Corruption Feeds at Bergen Kunsthall in Norway (2014), Comparison Leads to Violence at Balice Hertling in Paris (2014) and Blé at dépendance in Brussels (2014).
