Learning objectives:

Students are able to,

  • analyze how duration, long-term engagement, and the ability to immerse themselves in processes become effective in artistic projects across different media, e.g., installation, performance, film, video, sound, drawing, or participatory practices.;
  • analyze the interplay between artistic practice and research through direct engagement with existing works;
  • gain specific experiences with artistic projects and reflect on them within historical, social, and ecological contexts;
  • apply theoretical concepts such as Deep Time, postcolonial temporalities, or deceleration to critically examine their own work and develop new perspectives on time.
