- Tuesday 22 February 2011: 9.30 am : meeting, presentation of the workshop and first discussions about its topics and technics. First shootings (moutains, rivers, lake around Geneva)
- Wednesday 23 February 2011: All day of shooting. Moutains, rivers, lake around Geneva + Rear projection screen in shooting studio (at Encyclopédie building)
- Thursday 24 February 2011: Last shootings and editing (in Général Dufour building editing room number 33A, 3rd floor on the left) 5.00pm: presentation of each film and collective discussion

Using the two cinematic special effects - 'rear projection' and 'day for night' – in the context of Geneva’s natural setting (mountains, lake, rivers), 5 groups of 3 students will work together to realize an 'unedited' single shot film (plus or minus 2 minutes in length). The completed films will be shown and discussed collectively on the last day of the workshop. It will allow us to look at how painting and photography have provided formal invention and precedent for the cinematic devices (rear projection and 'day for night') that we we will be using and exploring.

The workshop will begin on monday 21th evening with the screening of Mark Lewis film "Backstory".
