Ultra Récup vous invite à Porteous pour un workshop d’immersion dédié aux métamorphoses de la matière.
Nous nous retrouverons le 27 Octobre à 10 heure à la HEAD, dans l'espace commun du Work.master (4e étage du bâtiment A) , pour une introduction au projet. Nous partirons ensuite ensemble en direction de Porteous. Un véhicule assurera le transport des matériaux glanés depuis la HEAD.
Nous explorerons ensemble des manières inventives de réanimer des matériaux voués à la destruction, en expérimentant leurs potentialités esthétiques et techniques.
Le workshop sera l’occasion de développer une pratique collective où l’expérimentation, l’imagination et le souci du détail s’entremêlent.
L’objectif : dépasser les clichés de la “récupération brute” et ouvrir la voie à des créations singulières, sensibles et exigeantes.
Déroulement pratique :
- Lundi 27 octobre, rendez-vous à 10h à la HEAD Bâtiment A dans l'espace commun du Work.Master.
- Chaque participant·e·x apporte une matière glanée en amont (élément récupéré, fragment, objet…) pour nourrir une matériauthèque commune. Celle-ci constituera notre base de travail.
- Le workshop s’achèvera par un retour collectif sur les expérimentations de chacun·e·x. L’accent sera mis sur le processus plutôt que sur la réalisation d’un produit fini.
- Des repas de midi seront cuisinés et partagés collectivement. Pensez à signaler vos éventuelles restrictions alimentaires.
Intention pédagogique :
- Expérimenter librement des techniques de transformation.
- Explorer la valeur créative de matières délaissées.
- Vivre un processus collectif dans un cadre convivial et inventif.
*Porteous étant en transformation, certaines normes PMR ne sont pas encore en place. Nous ferons notre possible pour vous accueillir dans les meilleures conditions.

Concrètement: l accès est un peu difficile vu la localisation géographique (10 min de marche) mais on peut venir chercher et amener les personnes en véhicule depuis le bus le plus proche.
les toilettes, la cuisine (Chic&Shlag) Porteous sont accessibles PMR. les machines stationnaires et l'atelier ne le sont pas (mais on peut pas faire autrement) et presque aucune partie du workshop s'y déroulera. La cabane et l'esplanade nécessité de monter quelques marches, qui peuvent être évités par un trajet de 1minute.

Ultra Récup invites you to Porteous for an immersive workshop dedicated to the metamorphoses of matter.
We will meet on October 27 at 10:00 a.m. at HEAD, in the common space of the Work.master (4th floor of Building A), for an introduction to the project. We will then head together towards Porteous. A vehicle will provide transportation for the materials collected from HEAD.
Together, we will explore inventive ways of reanimating materials destined for destruction, by experimenting with their aesthetic and technical potentialities.
The workshop will be an opportunity to develop a collective practice where experimentation, imagination, and attention to detail intertwine.
The goal: to move beyond the clichés of “upcycling” and open the way for singular, sensitive, and ambitious creations.
Practical Outline:
Monday, 27 October, meeting point at Head in the blue building A on the 4th floor in the common space of the work.master.
Each participant brings a piece of material collected in advance (a recovered element, fragment, object…) to contribute to a shared materials library. This will form our working base.
The workshop will conclude with a collective feedback session on each person’s experiments. The emphasis will be placed on the process rather than the production of a finished object.
Lunches will be cooked and shared collectively. Please remember to mention any dietary restrictions.

Experiment freely with techniques of transformation.
Explore the creative value of overlooked materials.
Experience a collective process within a convivial and imaginative setting.
*Since Porteous is currently undergoing transformation, some accessibility standards (PRM – Persons with Reduced Mobility) are not yet in place. We will do our best to welcome you under the best possible conditions.

In practical terms: access is somewhat difficult due to the geographical location (10 minutes on foot), but we can pick up and bring people by vehicle from the nearest bus stop.
The toilets and the kitchen (Chic&Shlag) at Porteous are PRM accessible. The stationary machines and the workshop are not (there’s no way around this), but almost no part of the workshop will take place there. The cabin and the esplanade require climbing a few steps, which can be avoided by a one-minute detour.
A site access map for Porteous will be shared during the first day of the workshop at HEAD.
